“Making time for myself has never been easy. As a wife, mother, daughter and friend, I generally put others first. When a dear friend decided she wanted to celebrate her birthday on a girls yoga retreat I happily said "I'm In"! It wasn't just for my sister-from-another-mister that I jumped at the chance. Certainly, it was a way to celebrate her latest trip around the sun, but also it was an opportunity to have a weekend away from all the demands that life brings.
This Grounding Magic Retreat turned out to be so much more than a weekend away with the gals. The yoga sessions quieted my mind and helped me listen to my body and what it needs. The reiki massage was a completely life-altering experience: I was able to mentally and physically let go of the worries that weigh me down. I can't put into words how it freed me.
The hiking, visits near the lake view, and the fresh air were invigorating and were a welcome way to give gratitude for the nature that surrounds this retreat space. Best of all this was a time when i was given the opportunity for reflection about what makes me happiest in my life, but also what goals I want to set for my own growth towards physical, emotional, and spiritual balance.
This wonderful retreat turned out to be a celebration of what it is to commune with women as we all search for and share in gratitude for ALL that life offers us, if we just reach out and grab it.”

“When I saw the pictures, reviews and itinerary for this retreat I had no hesitations on attending in any way! I decided after having a house fire and missing two birthdays due to Covid, I wanted to have some time with friends where we could reconnect and celebrate each other.
The best part of this retreat was spending time on my friends and myself, not only as individuals, but as women who haven't had a chance to connect through growth experiences. There was such a feeling of ease and expertise in every single way and that, for me, was everything.
Although I was able to slow down, reflect and relax with my friends but was also able to get alone time when I needed to in order to process what I was learning and experiencing. The journal that was provided was so thoughtful and intentional as were the accompanying exercises, both physical and spiritual, that were led by our host Shauna. Often after these types of weekends, you leave what you learned behind simply based on not having anything tangible to take with you. Not this time. When you are able to reflect and then write things down, your brain retains it in a different way and even when it doesn't, you have a record of the entire thing!
I would recommend this retreat to anyone that enjoys being pampered spiritually all while being surrounded by nature, peace and everything you could need in the cottage itself. It's country yet modern feel leaves nothing for want. And just in case there is, the host, Shauna is happy to help!
